Join Discovery Dive World for an advanced-level liveaboard expedition to the Florida Middlegrounds, one of the Gulf of America’s most legendary offshore dive and spearfishing destinations.

This trip is designed for experienced divers and underwater hunters looking for big structure, deep ledges, strong currents, and the chance at pelagics, large reef species, and trophy fish—all from the comfort of a purpose-built liveaboard operating out of Panama City Beach.

Expect long bottom times, challenging conditions, and incredible visibility when the Gulf cooperates. This is not a tourist reef trip—this is the real deal.

Diving & Spearfishing Details

• Primary Sites: Florida Middlegrounds ledges & pinnacles
• Typical Depths: ~70–130+ ft
• Conditions: Variable current, blue-water drops, offshore seas
• Spearfishing: Allowed where legal, diver responsible for compliance
• Experience Level: Advanced divers only

⚠️ This trip is not appropriate for new divers. Comfort with blue-water ascents, current, and offshore conditions is required.

Certification, Gear & Experience Requirements

• Advanced Open Water required
• Underwater Hunter certification required
• Spearfishing experience strongly recommended
• Dive Computer required
• SMB + spool (mandatory)
• Must be comfortable with:
  • Blue-water entries
  • Drift diving
  • SMB deployment
  • Liveaboard procedures

Final diver approval at captain / trip leader discretion.

Pricing & Payment

Trip Cost: $1,450 per diver

• $200 non-refundable deposit due at booking
• Final balance due: 1 July 2027

✖️ Nitrox ($50 extra)
✖️ Dive gear, Spearfishing gear & Fishing licenses
