Advanced Open Water Dive Course
Start your Advanced Certification with PADI's online class.
You can complete this first step on your own, at your own pace, on your own schedule!
Enroll in PADI eLearning, where PADI's interactive website gives you the background information about the skills and safety procedures that you need before you dive.

The online course includes unlimited access to PADI's Advanced Instruction Manual. eLearning will ensure you master the knowledge required to complete your dive training. Once you complete the online academic course, Discovery Dive World charges a fee of $549 to complete the certification through 5 open water dives. The fee includes the 5 instructional advanced dives, one two-tank dive charter and the certification card. Gear rental for Advanced students is reduced 50% from normal rental fees. Entry fee's to local dive sites not included.

With your PADI Instructor, you complete the deep and underwater navigation Adventure Dives. These dives boost your confidence as you build these foundational skills. Then, you choose three additional dives from more than 15 Adventure Dives to complete your course. You can go diving at night or check out the local wrecks in the area.
Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
Number of dives: Five dives
Adventure Dive options include altitude diving, AWARE-fish identification, boat diving, deep diving, diver propulsion vehicle use, drift diving, dry suit diving, multilevel and computer diving, night diving, peak performance buoyancy, search and recovery, underwater nature study, underwater navigation, underwater photography, underwater videography and wreck diving Each Adventure Dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.
If you choose not to complete the eLearning training online, students are required to purchase PADI's Adventure in Diving manual. The course fee is $249 for those not completing online academics.
Materials: Adventures in Diving manual and your logbook. Note: eLearning students are not required to purchase the manual, as this material will be provided online.
Discount for active and retired military, law enforcement and first responders and their dependents is $15 off the regular pricing. Discovery Dive World also extends this discount to anyone who has a family member enrolled in the same open water dive course (both receive the discount).
