Discovery Dive World – Charter Deposit & Cancellation Policy

All dive charters require payment at booking to reserve seats. Shared-seat dive charters may be cancelled by the guest up to 72 hours before departure for a refund or store credit, less $25 processing fee. Cancellations made 24–72 hours before departure are eligible for store credit only, or refund if we are able to refill the seat. Cancellations within 24 hours, late arrivals, and no-shows are non-refundable.

Private charters require a 50% deposit at booking, with the balance due 7 days before departure. Private charter cancellations made 14+ days before departure are refundable less $25 booking or processing fee. Cancellations 7–14 days before departure forfeit the deposit unless we are able to rebook the date. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.

Specialty offshore trips, including SS United States, spearfishing, DPV, Avelo, advanced wreck, or other limited-capacity trips, may have stricter payment and cancellation terms. Unless otherwise stated, specialty charters require full payment 14 days before departure and are non-refundable inside 7 days unless we are able to refill the seat.

Weather and safety decisions are made solely by the captain and dive operator. Rain alone does not cancel a trip. If we cancel due to unsafe weather, sea conditions, mechanical issues, or operational concerns, guests may reschedule at no charge or receive a refund. We do not issue refunds for poor visibility, seasickness, marine life encounters, personal schedule changes, forgotten certification cards, late arrivals, failed medical clearance, or a guest’s decision not to dive after departure.

Check-in is required 30 minutes before departure. Guests arriving more than 15 minutes late may be treated as no-shows.
